Nikki is a founder of Alexander Hill Recruitment and is one of London’s most highly respected recruiters. From our offices in New Broad Street House Nikki runs the London operation. Nikki has formidable networks and acts as a standard bearer for the business, leading the team from the front each and every day.
When I’m not busily recruiting I am studying Psychology to feed my fascination with people! Those who know me will be amazed that I ski but many secretly thinks it’s the spa and après ski I go for. I dream of owning a puppy called Dolly and as one of life’s “talkers” the team all hope that Dolly’s arrival is imminent!

Nicola Alexander - Biography
Nicola joined forces with Nikki Hill in 2004 and it was quickly apparent that a kindred spirit existed in Nikki. An accomplished recruiter with experience operationally and at Board level in both Boutique and PLC environments, Nicola was determined to build a niche consultancy that really reflected her passion for recruitment and et voila, Alexander Hill was born.
I’m very proud of what Alexander Hill has become and I derive a great deal of satisfaction from seeing more and more clients and candidates choose to work with us above all others. It is the ultimate litmus test as to just how well we are doing. I am kept extremely busy by my two babies, Alexander Hill Recruitment and Edward, who was born in November 2010. I live in the West Country and love nothing more than to walk through the Somerset countryside with Edward and my black Labrador in tow. A glass of cider at the end is a definite plus!

Laura Hopkins - Biography
Laura Hopkins is the driving force behind our Reading office. Having been introduced to Laura on a social level Nicola was convinced Laura would be the right person to bring a boutique recruitment service to the Thames Valley and so set about wooing her! Laura made the move to Alexander Hill in September 2010 and we have never looked back.
As a recruiter with many years experience of working in the Reading market my clients and candidates thoroughly enjoy working with me. I asked them why and a common theme emerged. “Laura always listens and has outstanding judgement, along with strong ethics and integrity which are often lacking in today’s aggressive market.” Blush! I work with some of the most desirable employers in the Thames Valley and I place a high value on my candidate relationships. Outside of the office I keep busy with family life which, having 5 and 13 year old daughters, involves taxi driving, cooking and nagging. I’ll always make time for a long run or a good book though… as well as a glass or 3 of wine!

Emily Hills - Biography
Emily has recently joined Alexander Hill's London office, after realising she just couldn't hold out from the big smoke any longer! With experience of recruiting for a variety of office support roles in a number of sectors, Emily is now thoroughly enjoying the buzz of the City and is an asset to the team.
I pride myself on gaining a true understanding of a clients recruitment needs, company culture and team environment. This way, I can be sure to offer a bespoke, personalised service which will deliver great results and ensure that my client is getting exactly what they've asked for. When I'm not exploring the City with my friends, I can most likely be found with my nose in a book or watching a cheesy movie.

Gemma Chamberlain - Biography
With 5 years experience in the Digital and Social Media industry, most recently for the professional networking tool Linkedin, Gemma is Alexander-Hill’s newest consultant based in the Reading office. She is a professional networker and has the inside track on all things “Social Recruiting”. With a background in Facilities, Office and Operations Management, she has built a career in professional services and is perfectly positioned to spot top talent in an over-saturated market.
As a keen furniture restorer, I can regularly be found in antique dealerships and restoration yards around Reading. My house (that I share with my fiancée and pet cat Billy) is therefore littered with art and relics from bygone days.

Tessa Paterson - Biography
With over 20 years experience within the financial services sector, Tessa Paterson joined Alexander Hill recently as a Resource Assistant for the Reading office. Throughout Tessa’s career her focus has been on providing excellent customer service and working in very people driven environments. As an experienced Executive Assistant/PA in the Middle East/London and PA/Office Manager in Reading, Tessa is able her to draw on her organisational and excellent communication skills. She also brings a talent to identify high calibre candidates suitable for our premium job roles, her attention to detail being a valuable asset.
I don't have much time for my holistic & health passion these days, recently getting married and becoming a Mum, my ‘Me’ time is on a temporary hold! I have embraced motherhood with every ardour, looking forward to every new challenge it brings.
